TV Mounting, Answered

Lower than most people expect. The centre of the screen should land roughly at seated eye level — usually 42 to 48 inches off the floor for a living room. Mounting too high is the single most common regret, and it's the reason above-fireplace installs almost always want a tilting mount. We'll mark it, you sit down and look at it, and we adjust before drilling.
Yes — it's a $50 add-on. Two things get checked first: heat, and what's actually behind the surface. Gas fireplaces are usually fine; a wood-burning firebox that throws real heat sometimes isn't, and we'll tell you if that's the case rather than mounting it anyway. Above-fireplace mounts are also where a tilting bracket earns its money.
The full version is in-wall power relocation, $100. We install a code-compliant recessed outlet behind the TV and connect it through the wall to your existing outlet below, so there's no cord visible at all. It's a proper kit, not an extension cord run inside the wall — that's a fire-code violation, and we won't do it that way.
Yes, $50 on top of the install. Masonry needs hammer-drill bits and sleeve anchors rated for the load — a normal bit and a plastic plug will either fail or crack the material. Tell us the wall type when you book so the right hardware is already on the truck.
The calendar handles it automatically. One to three TVs uses a standard slot of about 90 minutes; four or more switches you to a longer three-hour slot so we're not rushing the last one. Just add them to the quote above and the right calendar appears.
